Throughout the NFL regular season, there's ups and downs and twists and turns we'll never expect or see coming.
Last season for the Jets, it was QB Aaron Rodgers going down to a season-ending Achilles' injury only four snaps into his debut for Gang Green.
With Rodgers back and fully healthy, the expectations are sky high for the organization, with a front office making moves this offseason to show that if it doesn't work out, there could be some big time changes in the Meadowlands come the end of the regular season.
So what will it be: Can the Jets end the longest professional drought in North American sports (13 seasons) and make some noise in the playoffs or even contend for a spot in the AFC Championship game, or will they flame out and an aging roster isn't able to get the job done leading to wholesale changes come next offseason?
Here's our game-by-game and record prediction for the Jets this upcoming season:
Week 1: at San Francisco 49ers, 8:20 p.m., Sept. 9, FOX
