DEISLER, Edward G., of Saginaw, our beloved father, grandfather, and brother passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was 91years old. Edward George Deisler, Jr. was born on May 11, 1924, to Edward G. and Bernadette (LaVeck) Deisler. He married Mary Patrice "Pat" Harden on August 28, 1948, at St. Mary's Cathedral; she preceded him in death on July 24, 2010. Ed graduated from St. Mary's High School and then attended St. Mary's College in Winona, MN. He continued his education at the University of Notre Dame where he enrolled in the V-12 Program. In 1942, Ed served with the United States Marine Corps in Saipan and Okinawa, Japan for four years. Upon his honorable discharge, he attended Wayne State University where he obtained his Mortuary Science License. Ed was a licensed funeral director for over 68 years, serving the Saginaw community. He was the President of Deisler Funeral Home from 1951 until his retirement in 1989. He was extremely proud that the Deisler Funeral Home was, and still is, the oldest funeral home in the Saginaw community founded in 1888, continues to serve the community 128 years later through his son, Thomas, a fourth generation family funeral director/owner. In addition to owning the funeral home, Ed founded State Lanes and Stardust Bowling establishments with his brothers, Joe and Tony. ALDRICH, Ryan M. Wyoming, MI formerly of Saginaw Our loving and witty son, brother, companion, nephew and dear friend passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. He was 41 years old. Ryan Matthew Aldrich was born on September 16, 1982 in Saginaw to Marc G. and Laurie L. (Frisch) Aldrich. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 2000. After high school he trained with Saginaw Metal Casting learning the trade of manufacturing. He worked as a machinist at Good Metals in Grand Rapids. Ryan will forever be remembered proudly driving in his Toyota Tacoma, caring for his animals and that he had fierce love for his family. Ryan will be lovingly remembered by his parents: Marc and Laurie; brothers: Stephen Aldrich and Myles (Zakeira Hines) Aldrich; his longtime partner, Ashley Arndt; grandparents: Paul and Rita Aldrich and his beloved cats: Riddick and Jax. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert “Bob” and Marjorie (Culbert) Frisch and aunt, Deb Frisch. In keeping with Ryan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A kind, patient and gentle soul, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Leonard A. Boensch, 89, of Saginaw, peacefully passed away Saturday evening January 16, 2021 at the Veteran's Palliative Care Unit in Saginaw. He was born April 25, 1931 to the late Carl and Agatha (Berghoff) Boensch. After attending Indiantown Grade School, he graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He farmed with his father and four brothers until 1969. He then worked at Wiltsie Tool and Stork Engineering as a welder before opening Boensch Garage in 1971. Always a farmer in heart and mind, he and his son Tim, farmed side by side until 2015. On July 12, 1958 Len married the love of his life, Carol J. Guerin, daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Size) Guerin. She survives him along with their children Karen Young, Kathy (Craig) Wascher, and Timothy (Julie) Boensch, their grandchildren Kayla (Brett Sebens) Young, Kevin Young, Christopher (Cassie Leightner) Wascher, Kyle (Christy) Wascher, and Kaitlyn (Calvin) Hugo and their great grandchildren, Jacey Hugo, Joslyn Hugo and Kian Wascher. STELTER, Maureen Estelle Kathleen (Shea), of Saginaw Michigan, passed away at home surrounded by her loving husband and children following a valiant battle with cancer. She went home to spend an eternity with her Lord Jesus Christ on August 11, 2011, at the age of 62 years. Maureen was born February 21, 1949 to the late Charles J. Jr. and Marjorie E. (Keyes) Shea. She graduated from St Mary's Cathedral High School and Central Michigan University with a B.A. in Special Education and Elementary Education. She previously taught in the Saginaw City School District at Norman Westlund Child Guidance Clinic, Longstreet Elementary, The Birth Through Five Program, and was a substitute teacher for the Saginaw Township Schools at Heritage High School. She is survived by the love of her life, William J. Stelter, who she married on March 17, 1973. This union was blessed with two amazing daughters and an incredible son: Jennifer (Jason) Long and their children McKenna, Ryan, and Ethan; Shea (Steve) Lampi and their children Greyson and Jacob; and Kevin Stelter. She is also survived by her mother, Marjorie; sister, Kerry Shea King; nephew, Kevin King; and niece, Erin Brasseur (John) Dolbee. Matthew Stephen Ayers was born on April 8, 1969 in Saginaw to Jeanne (Burba) and Stephen S. Ayers. He graduated from Carrollton High School, and then attended Western Michigan University receiving his Associates Degree in Aviation Engineering. Matt worked for Covenant HealthCare for over 20 years in the Information Technology Department. He loved to camp, fish, golf, garden, he was an avid reader and loved caring for his pets. Matt loved to spend hours planning and cooking special events for his family and friends. He was a standing tall, proud Republican and enjoyed sporting events, especially the Red Wings.
