Hi Guys:
Sorry to be asking dumb questions, but somewhere I think I was led to believe that ya gotta be carefully fitting wheels on these '02 SE's because of the calipers?
Will the stock LS wheels fit on my Titanium critter?
Thx, RWH

I believe they are fine because they are the same diameter wheel. They are the same bolt pattern so no issues there. How much bigger are the Se brakes/calipers compared to the Ls?

If they're 16" wheels, they will fit your car perfectly. There's only issues when you try to step down to 15"

Hi:
Thanks!
Someone was also trying to tell me that the calipers grew during the NB series and that early NB 16" wheels ('99, '00 & such) would not fit my '02 SE??
Is this hogwash?
Thanks again! RWH

They might have grown, but 16 in wheels are 16 in wheels. If you have 16's on it now and you want to replace it with different 16's it will be fine. If you wanted to go smaller then you might start running into issues.

Yes, they'll fit. I have an '02 LS with w/Sport and I have run the original rims (just like those in that CL ad) as well as a set of chrome SE rims which look identical, but with the chrome finish. No issues at; not even close to the sport brake calipers or rotors.

Early NBs 99/00 had 14" and 15" wheels. 14" wheels and some 15" wheels will not clear the larger brakes. The big brake setup was introduced as an option in 2001 and came with 16" wheels, standard brake cars still had 15" wheels. In 2003 the big brakes became standard and 15" wheels went away.

The '02 LS and '02 SE have the exact same brakes, so if a wheel fits on one it'll fit on the other.

I have factory 15 inch wheels on my 2005, they fit without a problem.

Yeah with the sport breaks will clear most 15s. I know plenty of people running stock 15s and non stock wheels. But factory 16s will bolt right on.

99's came with 14's
00's came with 14 & 15's
01-02 came with 15's unless it had sport brakes and then it was 16's
02+ came with 16's because the sport brakes became standard.

So yes, any 16" wheel your will fit your NB no matter what brakes you have. There are many aftermarket 15" wheels that will fit over the sport brakes as well.

What will you do with the 02 SE wheels?

Hi: The new ones are my style, great buy @ $300 with decent Yokohama's.
Selling the beautiful stock SE's (just too busy for me), but to the San Diego market.
Thanks again, RWH

In 1999 the Sport and Leather Package cars had 15" wheels, the 10AE had 15" polished wheels.

Big brakes were optional in 2001 - 2002, they became standard in 2003 and beyond

There used to be a list somewhere in the wheel/tire forum of which 15" wheels would/would not fit over the big brakes.
